Overview
The 2025 SDP Annual Conference & Training, held September 14–19, 2025, at The Fontaine Hotel in Kansas City, Missouri, was an outstanding success. Depreciation professionals from across the country gathered for a week of education, collaboration, and industry insight, making this one of our most engaging and well-attended events to date.
Training participation reached new highs this year. Two courses sold out, and the Depreciation Fundamentals course set a new record with 44 attendees—a 33% increase from 2024. Strong interest in life analysis and net salvage continued, with enrollment in the net salvage course nearly doubling since 2023. The Utility Ratemaking course, added to address growing questions about how depreciation fits into regulatory frameworks, also saw positive engagement.
Our two Sunday courses—Introduction to Depreciation and Depreciation Regulation, were well attended and provided valuable preparation for the week ahead. The conference concluded with timely discussions on AI, Generative AI, and current issues affecting depreciation.
Thank you to all attendees, instructors, and volunteers who made the 2025 event a success. Below is the full list of training courses offered this year.
