Mary Anne Sullivan is senior counsel with Hogan Lovells in Washington, DC, in the energy regulatory practice. Her practice spans the energy spectrum, with a particular focus on technology innovation and reduced carbon solutions. She previously served as General Counsel of the U.S. Department of Energy.

Mary Anne uses her broad knowledge of the industry and the regulatory environment to assist her clients in finding and taking advantage of new opportunities in the market. Her clients include electric utilities, energy technology developers of all kinds, vehicle manufacturers, industrial and consumer equipment manufacturers, among others. A common theme among her clients is that they are all working in dynamic energy markets and employing new technologies to reduce carbon emissions. She helps them deploy legal and policy tools to achieve that objective.

Mary Anne received her law degree from Yale Law School.
